Affordable Services
Many of our clients have very few options in selective service agencies. CLASS works diligently to keep services affordable so that clients of medium income or less will have access to quality services.

A grant from the Georgia State Department of Human Resources provides 30% of the funds needed to implement our programs. The balance is generated by way of gifts, bequests and community fund-raisers.

Day Center
Our Center offers a supportive, structured environment in which participants benefit from socialization, physical exercise, therapeutic activities, medical monitoring, counseling and long-term care planning.

Day Care Services are provided five (5) days per week from 7:45 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Nutritious meals and snacks are served. Participants can socialize, participate in therapeutic and physical activities. Clients also receive health monitoring by a registered nurse, counseling and case management by a social worker.

Respite Care
CLASS offers extended hours from 4:00 p.m. through 7:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, and some overnight weekend respite care.

Saturday respite is also available from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Respite Services maintain a slower pace of activities but still has a strong treatment orientation.

Support Groups
The Center provides peer support, information and education for caregivers and family members with Alzheimer's Disease and other related disorders.

Group meetings are held the first and second Tuesday of each month. Meeting times may vary.

Outreach Services
CLASS offers a continuum of care, which includes our Outreach Services. Our Case Manager contacts families who have been referred and their community supports systems to offer education about Alzheimer's Disease and the essentials of family survival during this illness. As appropriate, the Outreach Nurse will also make referrals to CLASS programs or others. We now have two Social Workers in the Outreach services.
