ABOUT ELDRIN BELL
Chairman Bell received his education in the Atlanta Public Schools, graduating from the David T. Howard High School. He did undergraduate studies at Morris Brown University College and Georgia State University. He did graduate studies at Harvard University Law School, Northwestern University Traffic Institute and Atlanta University. He also received training at the FBI Academy, National Executive Institute (NEI), and is a Secret Service Academy graduate
Chairman Bell is a 33-year veteran of the Atlanta Police Department (where he earned every rank from Patrolman to Police Chief). As Police Chief, he managed 2,300 employees, managed a $100 million budget and obtained over $50 million in grants.
Chairman Bell is a member of many civic and professional organizations including: Gate City Bar Association - Associate Member, National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Officers (NOBLE), Georgia International Law Enforcement Exchange (GILEE), Clayton County NAACP, and the Governor's Martin Luther King Holiday Commission.
Chairman Bell was honored twice by his peers as Executive of the Year. He was elected to serve as a Delegate for the Kerry/Edwards' 2004 Democratic National Convention in Boston, Massachusetts. He was endorsed by the Atlanta Georgia Labor Council for Clayton County Commission Chairman. He is a member and minister at Salem Baptist Church in Atlanta. He is the proud father of 11 children (seven adopted).
Chairman Bell is a proven leader with over 33 years of leadership experience. He is a leader with vision and action. He is respected locally and nationally. He is a community activist for children and senior adults. As a consultant, he develops and conducts cultural diversity training and provides management and security advice to local governments throughout the nation.
