The Board of Commissioners adopted the present Zoning Schedule to accomodate additional review requirements under the Clayton County Zoning Ordinance. The Technical Review Committee (TRC) processes all zoning, plat and plan applications.
Refer to the schedules and information below to determine the cut-off date for application submittals. The schedule date determines at which TRC meeting applicant shall receive Staff comments. Applicants MUST attend their assigned TRC meeting to receive their comments.
Applications and Fee Schedule
Technical Review Committee meetings are held within the Community Development Department Conference Room, located at 121 South McDonough Street, Jonesboro, GA 30326. All plan review meetings will be held from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm. Applicants must be in attendance and will be assigned time slot when fees are received. All applications must be complete and submitted prior to 12:00 pm (noon) on the day of the submission deadline. The Planning and Zoning Office will provide each applicant with a 30 minute time slot for the TRC meeting date. If all time slots for the corresponding week are filled, the meeting date will be tabled to the next available week.
Zoning Advisory Public Hearings are limited to 10 application items per Article 10.15 of the zoning ordinance. Applicants forwarded from TRC will be added to the agenda according to date and time of original submittal.
ZAG and BOC public hearings are held at 7:00 p.m. in the Commissioners Board Room 112 Smith Street, Jonesboro, GA 30236. Each public hearings is preceded by a pre-meeting at 6:30 in the conference room. Board of Commissioners Zoning

The Board of Zoning Appeal’s Public Hearings is held at 7:00 pm in the Commissioner Board Room, located at 112 Smith Street, Jonesboro, GA 30326. Each Public Hearing is preceded by a pre-meeting at 6:30 pm in the conference room.
Note: Applications that are denied shall not be eligible for consideration again for a period of one (1) year from the date of denial (Article 13.21 4. c.)
Please be advised that these meeting dates may be rescheduled to the next business day following holiday closing. All plan review meetings will be held at 9:00 am – 1:00 pm in the Department of Community Development Conference Room. 30 minute time slots are available. Note that zoning submittal dates follow a 13-day rule (prior to TRC meeting).
