Poll Workers


Poll WorkerClayton County needs your help in continuing to provide the more than 157,293 registered voters the opportunity to vote at neighborhood precincts throughout the County. On Election Day, we count on these civic-minded individuals to efficiently process voters, provide instructions on the proper use of voting machines and address concerns that voters may encounter.

This trusted position is ideal for anyone who would like to get a firsthand look at how our system works, and provide neighbors their opportunity to vote. Many Election Officers serve year after year for the experience of being an integral part of the election process.

How Can I Become a Poll Worker and Receive Free Training?

There are a few basic requirements that must be met in order to become a Poll Worker. They include:

  • Being 16 years of age or older
  • Being a resident of Clayton County
  • Able to read, write and speak the English language

Poll Worker Training

The Board of Elections and Registration will hold future training sessions for new poll worker at various community locations. Dates, times and locations will be posted as they become available. It is not necessary to pre-register for training.
