The
old Clayton County Courthouse went through a major facelift. Renovation
of the original 1898 courthouse marks the third and final phase
of a $119 million project, which started with construction of the
Harold R. Banke Justice Center in October 1998. The second phase
of the project is the on-going renovation of the Clayton County
Detention Center in Lovejoy, which will house an expanded work release
program.
