 1348 Government Circle, Jonesboro, GA 30236 Telephone (770) 477-3748 Fax (770) 473-3907 We Keep Clayton Rolling Fleet Maintenance obtains an impressive record of keeping more than 1,393 county vehicles in service in order to serve Clayton County citizens. This includes all Police, Fire and Landfill equipment, with a staff of only 13 mechanics, 1 Parts Assistant, and 4 office personnel. Mickey Murphy is the Shop Foreman, and Wade Starr is the Director. Garage hours are Monday through Friday, from 7:00 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. Service Station The Fleet Maintenance department is also responsible for the fueling system on all county vehicles. CNG, Gasoline and Diesel fuel are all available through the county Service Station. Clayton County uses propane gas for some of it's vehicles which is a cleaner burning fuel than gasoline. All vehicles are run on a gas "key" system, unless other arrangements have been made. The Service Station is staffed by Larry Williams, Mary Steel, and Claude Bennett (part-time). |
