The Clayton County Airport -Tara Field is located at 474 Speedway Boulevard in Hampton, just west of the Atlanta Motor Speedway. In 1994 the Board of Commissioners established Tara Field. The primary goal of the Airport is to plan and operate a safe, adequate, and efficient aviation transportation system. In order to accomplish this goal, Clayton County Airport - Tara Field must establish and continuously update a comprehensive program of aviation maintenance and planning.
